PRACTICE Since the founding of LANCASTER | HELLING, Chris has maintained a diverse corporate and transactional practice, representing clients in: all types of general corporate matters employment matters franchise relationships retail and distribution licensing real estate leases debt and equity financing transactions mergers and acquisitions corporate governance construction contracts managing intellectual property portfolio dispute resolution entity selection and formation other transactional matters
EXPERIENCE: Prior to founding LANCASTER | HELLING, Chris served as General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer for AIM Technologies, Inc., where he was responsible for all of the company's legal affairs. Prior to AIM, Chris was with the Dallas, Texas law firm of Touchstone, Bernays, Johnston, Beall & Smith, L.L.P. where he was elected Partner in 1999.
EDUCATION AND ADMISSIONS: Chris holds a J.D. from Southern Methodist University and a B.A in Economics from Stanford University. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Travis County Bar Association, and is a Founding Fellow of the Austin Bar Foundation and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Texas.
ACTIVITIES AND AWARDS: Chris currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Austin Humane Society. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Stanford Alumni Association of Austin, Texas. «Back to Attorneys
